Bravura Summer Music is a summer music festival for young musicians sponsored by the Bravura Youth Orchestra. The festival provides opportunities for dedicated young pianists and orchestral musicians ages 8 to 17 to learn from renowned musicians on its faculty. Under their guidance, participants will create music in solo, small ensemble, and large orchestral settings. Through their direct and practical involvement with musicians of international stature, students will achieve a greater depth of music appreciation, and experience how artistic vision is transformed into performances of the highest caliber.
Practice
Students attend private lessons, chamber music sessions, masterclasses, and various workshops on a daily basis and are expected to practice individually.
Perform
In addition to watching performances by faculty members and guest artists, students get to showcase their hard work in solo and chamber music recitals, which are open to the public.
Play
The camp begins with an ice cream social and ends with a field trip to Grounds For Sculpture, and lots of other games and activities in between. It’s the perfect time to make long-lasting friendships and fun memories.
